After looking through seasons 1 and 2 of 7 Seeds I have some theories as to why season 3 of the anime has not been announced yet.
After season 1, which was produced by Gonzo, Season 2 of the 7 Seeds anime was produced by Studio Kai after Gonzo transferred some of its anime to Studio Kai, so this studio could have other projects hence why they haven’t started or are delayed on work for 7 Seeds season 3.
7 Seeds season 2 was released in March of 2020, which was around the time when Covid-19 began. Although other anime studios have been able to release their works during the pandemic, it’s probably because they have more employees or they are just able to start new projects, Studio Kai so far has 45 Employees and are currently working on or releasing animes that are not ONAs.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studio_Kai
Therefore it stands to reason why Season 3 of 7 Seeds may be delayed, the new studio may be capable of making it, but are delayed right now due to new projects with the current 45 employees they have now as well as the pandemic and the fact that the 7 Seeds anime started with Gonzo before the studio transferred its anime to Studio Kai.
What do you think? Comment below.
Hi everyone!
I had finished the anime and wanted to read the manga so I was looking to see if there was an English edition. There was not but I found this website which translated it and it's free!
Best,
Fat Turkey
P.S- if you want to talk about anime or just talk my discord is Fat_Turkey #3705
Ok i am sorry please i just want to know is how to reach the creatures of the anime
Hello everyone! I We've recently created stub (i.e. short articles with not much info) about the anime episodes.
If any of you are currently watching the series (season 1 or 2!), would you be willing to write out a short plot summary for the episodes as you go? We have a list of the episodes on our Anime article!
If you need any assistance with editing, please feel free to reply here or message me on Discord (@ty#0768).
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Is the manga still being translated? I binge read the comic and it ended at ch 153.
If it is still being updated, what's the update schedule?
Thanks
I want all of them to escape from that creepy ants nest really soon......
And not any one of them to die, not Ango, nor Mozu, though I am not quite sure on how I feel to save those frozen children.........Please, Tamura-sama, please don't let them die from now on.
I thought Aramaki was gone for real. I thought the world was turning upside down...........(*sob*..*sob*) Like that, like you let him live, please let all of them escape from that Ants Nest and survive in that cruel world happily.
I was wondering if there's some kind of map out there that shows were each group started and moved toward, as well as where some of the landmakrs (like Ryugu shelter and summer A camps) are located. Because they talk about a lot of locations in this manga, and being a non-japanses, i have absolutely no idea where they are, where they're headed, or even how long it's supposed to take to get to any of the places.
Ayu mentioned to Ango, she would choose him for being the father of her children...But if there are few humans, shouldn't every woman procreate with every man? If it is one woman+one man= there would be incest in the 3. or 4. generation!
I don't think Ango didn't help Hana cause he wanted to cover his crime (He later told Ryo he didn't want either Hana or Haru dead), I think he was confused (he thought he was being tested in the cave), and he thought "bad-meany-Hana" wanted to hurt poor-innocent-Ryo (Ango is really messed up XD)
Ango isn't the guy who covers up, he isn't Ryo!
Hello !
I'm a simple person with a simple question,
Does this manga include typical yuri elements ? I'm not talking about hentai, not even talking about sex, I mean generic romantic female-female relationships.
And no, "implied" relationships doesn't count.
Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone,
since we have around 182 people now who voted for 7 Seeds being published in English language (thank you very much, everyone!!! ) and I can't want to wait for more voters any longer, I'd suggest that we continue our discussion about which English/American publisher we should ask for the publication of 7 Seeds.
The goal is 7 Seeds being high-quality translated into English language, with a good quality of the book and the printings and a reasonable price, distributed into the entire world!!! Let's fight for it, everyone!!!
(Viz is probably out, since they didn't accept 7 Seeds although quite a few supported it during their own poll. Sad, since they seemed to be one of the best candidates because of the fact that they have a direct relationship with Shueisha and Shogakukan. They have an exclusive hold over the properties of these Japanese publishers and since 7 Seeds is published by Shogakukan, only Viz has access to it. Other American publishers would have a very hard time licensing this series. And another good one - Tokyopop - went under, quite a pity.)
Here's the current candidate list, put together by Panda-chan, Wiesteria and I:
- Kodansha Comics (USA, New York) is good because they have comprehensive translator notes at the end, and their translations are pretty spot on. They tend to leave all the SFX in though, even the really small ones which can make the scans look a big messy. They have seen a couple of long series to the end too.
They are owned by the Japanese publishers themselves, which is probably why they can stick with long series.
I took a look at the Kodansha page (http://www.kodanshacomics.com/). Quite an frugal design, few features and only a single email address for contacts, not to mention that they seem to make sure they can lawfully take over all the comments made on their page (though they don't even have a forum) and make it their own - at least it says something like that in their Terms of Use.
A good website is supposed to be something like the business card of a company, but oh well. More important would be how they handle their manga.
Good translator notes and well-made translations would be really essential to express the deep thoughts and speeches of the Seeders. I'm a bit worried about the fact they often leave in their SFX - I really love the many funny/informative little side-comments and soundwords of 7 Seeds; they're totally one of the reasons for 7 Seeds' charm. Well, but if it would be possible to persuade them into doing the series properly, Kodansha might be a really good partner for 7 Seeds. But it's not actually sure whether they'd pick up 7 Seeds because 7 Seeds is a Shogakukan series.
- Then I found Dark Horse's website (America, Milwaukee/Oregon) and their wiki:
http://www.darkhorse.com/Zones/Manga
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Horse_Comics
Good first impression. Their site is quite confusing at first sight, but they even have a forum with a thread about manga wishes, although I'm not entirely sure whether it's really "official" or how many of the proposed series are actually taken in. Didn't find 7 Seeds there yet. They make really much effort to build up a good contact to their readers, too. (gave email, phone, fax and mail address as well as actively inviting submissions - other than the first two houses). Other than Viz, they respect the privacy of their users a really great deal and have a good FAQ (http://www.darkhorse.com/Help/FAQ/general).
This kind of company might have an more open ear for the wishes of a larger groups of fans than the other (a bit arrogant) big guys. If we come at them mentioning that we are asking them specifically because we appreciate their open and earnest intercourse with their readers, they might feel a bit flattered and be more cooperative towards us. I don't know about their abilities in the fields of translation / cleaning / delivering high-quality books, though.
- Digital Manga
http://www.digitalmanga.com/
Not quite sure about this American publisher (California). Their site is a bit confusing to me, but I got the impression that they focus on BL and digitalized manga. But what we wanted was the printed manga, wasn't it? I can't wait to collect the 7 Seeds volumes on my bookshelf....
(Panda-chan's comment: I've only read one Digital Manga series, but they seem okay. XD I think their editing style is similar to Kodansha's, being that they don't really edit the SFX at all and only stick translations to the side.)
- Yen Press
http://www.yenpress.com/
They American publishing house (New York) doesn't tell much about themselves, but it looks like Yen Press has a very large collection of various good manga in their repertoire. Might be a good candidate as well. But I don't know how they're doing in the fields of translation, SFX and overall quality and whether they stick with long series to their very end or not. It also seems like Yen Press tends to stick with Manhwa.
- Madman
http://www.madman.com.au/actions/channel.do?method=view
The Australian company has a very customer-friendly website and seems to be quite open for any suggestions. They also seem to have a very vast range of products, and not only manga. I don't know about how they're doing in the fields of translation, SFX and overall quality and whether they stick with long series to their very end or not.
Madman apparently usually doesn't distribute to America etc. because they're not a US company.
EDIT: Panda-chan pointed out that Viz still is worth some thought, so I added the info on this publisher, too:
Panda-chan:
-Viz is good because they do an excellent job with their editing/cleaning, plus their covers always look really pretty. They also pick up long series and tend to stick with them right the way through even if they're not doing so well, like Basara, Kaze Hikaru etc.
I do hear they censor some stuff sometimes, but I think they've gotten better. In FMA, the only thing they apparently censored was a piece of rock that looked like a cross and they changed it to detract from the religious implications, however I checked my copy (which is like the 7th or 8th edition, lol...), and it's the same as the original so it looks like they took out the censor later on anyway. xD
One pet peeve for me is that they drop honorifics sometimes, depending on the translator (and worse, their older series had everyone calling everyone on a first name basis ><)... but I have a few series of theirs with good translators who don't do that. xD
Viz is also owned by the Japanese publishers themselves, which is probably why they can stick with long series. :O The others I haven't really heard of before, so I can't say much about them... it's probably not a good thing if they're too small anyway because 7 Seeds would be a risky venture that small companies wouldn't be able to gamble on. :O
7 Seeds is a Shogakukan series...that's why Viz is probably the better option.
And my research on VIZ:
As for VIZ (http://www.viz.com/), they really have a cool website, albeit a bit confusing when watching it for the first time. They have a really big list of various manga and give their postal mail address (although I had to search for their email longer). But neither Kodansha nor Viz have a forum for their fans, that's a bit of a pity, but whatever.
I dislike their big curiosity for private user data though (check out http://www.viz.com/privacy). It seems like they track down their visitors'/users' movements on the net even outside their own site, and collect even third parties' email addresses - sometimes even sell it to other companies, if I understood it correctly. I don't want our 7 Seeds fancub members to sign up with their email addresses in this case - and I'm sure most of them would agree with me. Email addresses are important data and everyone really hates endles spam floods. We should better find another way to show the chosen publishing house that really many of us support 7 Seeds - maybe you've got an idea here?
On the other hand, if Viz are really doing such a good job on their editing/cleaning and covers and stick with their series once they took them up, that really would be a very good point to them. Might be an ideal choice if they don't try censoring 7 Seeds and use the honorifics properly. I totally agree with you that we should try the big houses first because 7 Seeds indeed would be a mammoth project for every publisher.
Wiesteria's comment:
In terms of the U.S., Viz is the one we should be aiming for. Not for their quality (which is on and off depending on the series although they usually do pretty decent shoujo), but because of the fact that they have a direct relationship with Shueisha and Shogakukan. They have an exclusive hold over the properties of these Japanese publishers and since 7 Seeds is published by Shogakukan, only Viz has access to it. Other American publishers would have a very hard time licensing this series.
Still, I think it's quite a pity that Panda-chan and I are pretty much the only ones taking care of this campaign and the 7 Seeds Wiki... where are you, all you 7 Seeds fans out there??? 7 Seeds isn't gonna sow itself around the entire world without any help, you know!
Parallel to this thread, I also would like to ask you to discuss the thread "Help out!!! Letters to Tamura-sama and the publisher" in order to write a good letter.
I'm very much looking forward to your comments on the publishers and letters!!

In a recent discussion about Hana-chans awful almost-rape experiences, Panda-chan mentioned following disturbing facts:
"Victim blaming is a really common problem in today's society, especially when it comes to rape victims. Sometimes it's so bad that even the victims end up blaming themselves, thinking it's their fault that they were raped, even if all the fault lies entirely on the rapist and not the victim. Not only that, after Hana was almost raped, I recall reading readers' comments saying that Hana deserved it and that Ango wasn't to blame at all."
This news really agitated me - after all, Ango was totally the criminal in that rape attempt incident - no matter how furious he was, raping a person (be it a male or female) is a most terrible crime that absolutely cannot be excused, never.
Ango just wanted to hurt Hana as much as possible because he couldn't punish Takashi for his deeds anymore and so shifted his hatred towards the teacher to his innocent daughter. Hana was never at fault for Ango trying to rape her to begin with. That's a so-called "rape myth".
I recently came across a very interesting one-shot manga that deals with the matter of rape, the suffering of victims and many "myths" that still circle in society about rape and make the victims still suffer even after the rape incident itself is over; the so-called "Second Rape". I'd seriously recommend to read this manga to all of those who still think the victim usually brings the rape on him-/herself.
Story's called Kyokou Shinwa ~Sekando Reipu~, the third one in a manga stories collection. The link is: http://mangafox.me/manga/kakene_nashi_no_love_torihiki/ By the way, "Bitter Virgin" (http://mangafox.me/manga/bitter_virgin/) is also a very serious manga series dealing with the trauma and suffering of a girl abused by her stepfather which got pregnant from her assailant. Totally to recommend.
Connected to the matter of rape, victim blame and rape myths, I'd really like to ask all of you for your own opinion on this hot topic and what you think should be done by the 7 Seeds project team members to ensure that such crimes can never happen again - after all, prevention is still better than any victim suffering and criminal punishments.
To the visitors from the Facebook 7 Seeds fangroup (and of course, any other visitors to this page):
How do you like this wiki? What's good, what could still be improved?
We don't mind harsh critic as long as it helps us to improve this wiki and contributes to the great world of 7 Seeds!

Hi Panda-chan!
Good job inserting the vol 23 cover and description without spoilering us ^,^
Awww, I SO love this beautiful cover. Can't wait to have all the 7 Seeds volumes with me at home!!
Lg, Ysaye
If you could decide which fanarticles are made for 7 Seeds, what would you like to have?
I'm dreaming of a DVD with all the 7 Seeds songs on it, including a slideshow of beautiful nature pictures matching the song's content, and the option of including English/Japanese subtitles showing the lyrics simultaneously. Awww... I'd SO buy that right away!!! *melt*
And of course, a 7 Seeds movie!
I could imagine 7 Seeds really well as a series of cinema movies either as a real filming with normal actors or an anime (both would be OK to me, and then of course the film made into DVD including at least English subtitles), each movie following the timeline of the manga and revolving around a certain arc.
The storyline of each movie should be closed in itself so that it will be a well-paced story which can be watched as separate, yet linked parts of a series. In the ending of every movie there should be a little cliffhanger making the cinemagoer looking forward towards the next part.
The openings of every movie could include a flash-in of every character introduced so far along with their names and former personalities and maybe a little flashback of the setting and storyline so far; also a theme song the same for every movie so that the 7 Seeds movies can become somewhat a recognizable brand name.
That song should have to do something with unity, growth and getting stronger together through any and all hardships, going ahead towards the future.
Maybe it could be done like this:
1st movie: Awakening To Heaven Or Hell?
The first adventures of Team Summer B and Team Spring, finishing with Natsu, Semimaru and Arashi setting off to Kanto for their former countries and Hana setting sail once more.
2nd movie: Despair
The adventures of Team Spring in Shinjuku and Team Winter's destruction, finishing with Aramaki's decision to move forward, Team Spring settling down and Hana's bad premonition about the dangerous animals.
3rd movie: Moving On
Arashi's, Semimaru's and Natsu's voyage throughout the destroyed towns, Arashi's devastation, their meeting up and separating with Aramaki, Arashi finding courage to live again thanks to Semimaru and Natsu, finishing with Aramaki's meeting Hana.
4th movie: A Reason To Live
Hana's illness, her voyage along with Haru and Aramaki, finishing with Hana's decision to find Arashi.
5th movie: Going Home
The growing up of Team Summer A and their cruel final test, finishing with them killing their guide and opening the door to the future.
6th movie: Strait is the Gate
Team Spring finding the Ryugu Shelter and Mark's sad story, ending with Team Summer A encountering the combined groups of Team Autumn, Spring and Winter after leaving the shelter while "Going Home" is running and Hana still thinks it's a rescue team.
7th movie: Cruel Summer
Team Spring, Autumn and Winter moving in with Summer A (due to their injuries from the bats) despite of the death of Izayoi, them finding out about Hana's parents and the following conflicts, finishing with Hana's (almost certain) death, Aramaki/Ayu setting out and Ango/Ryo seeing the kites attached to the ship of Team Summer B.
8th movie: The Final Test
Ango and Ryo meeting up with Team Summer B, many funny moments and their dangerous misadventures. Ending with Tamura-sama's terrifying cliffhanger...
9th movie: Lone Journey
Hana's re-awakening, her travels all alone, her slow way to realizing that she needs to trust into other people much more if she wants to survive in the New World.
It should be made into the lengtht of Cinema movies because I don't think the story can give a really good impact in those usually around 30-minute-long episodes, and a lot of time is needed to tell the story of each arc. At least around 180 minutes each movies, I'd say.
What do you think? I'd just SO love to write the script for 7 Seeds, if only I knew it could actually be filmed one day...
Or at least, to see the music DVD being published someday... well, we'll have to make the English manga a success first, then we maybe can talk with a publisher about further fan projects...
I know it's all very far-fetched, but you can still dream, right...? ;-))
@ Hespia Klarerin:
Thank you so much for your help with inserting your 7 Seeds pictures (don't worry, just because I came across some good, already internet-prepared pictures and spontaneously uploaded them too, your pictures aren't lost: I moved them into the spoilers section and made them bigger, so that they can be displayed much better now.) and for inserting the page about the Special Classes as well as correcting my Fujiko mistake! I'm also looking forward to continue working together with you on this wiki!
@unknown Editor:
Thank you very much for inserting the extra page of Ryugu Shelter - I hadn't thought that far, to be honest. I added some picture and another extra page for spoilers, but because of my work, I don't have that much time to spare anymore to re-read the entire arc properly and insert all the background info. Maybe you'd like to insert that, too? Don't worry, editing is really easy - I wrote some hints to it in the forum thread "Help - Looking for more editors".
I really hope to find more avid 7 Seeds fans like you two who'd take the time to improve this wiki too! :-D
Lg, Ysaye
Hi everyone!
As you can see, there's still much work to be done especially in the Character spoilers and on the Ryugu Shelter page as well as in trems of text formatting (the first page still is somewhat unprofessional).
But since I'm very new with wikipedia, I'm not too experienced with working on the design and the like - thus, we need the help of editors, who'd like to support the improvement on this page. I'd really like to work together with you - and don't worry; I can bear harsh critic too as long as it is constructive and helps us to make this page perfect.
If you've got no wiki experience, don't fret - drawing from your vast 7 Seeds knowledge and sharing it with the other fans would still be more than enough! :-D
You don't even have to register on the wikia for editing, although this makes it impossible to thank you personally. Registering is really easy, by the way - you only need a username and email address. If you don't want to give your real email, just make a new extra mail address, like I did.
Editing in this wiki is truly very easy; you only click on the "Edit" button above every page or on the section you want to work on, and then work in the Visual section. Source code is for the more experienced users, but it's not that much difficult either.
If you're finished, just click on "Preview" to watch how the new page will look like. Just go "back" if you want to improve something When you're satisfied, click on "Publish". Done already! :-D
If you've got any questions, please don't hesistate to ask me!
Thank you very much in advance for supporting the 7 Seeds wiki and helping to inform more people about the fascinating, amazing New World of Tamura-Sama!! :-D
